Enviroguard were contacted to deal with a large pigeon infestation located in a plant room on a city centre building.

The level of activity was extensive with approximately 100 birds roosting and nesting inside the plant room.

Large amounts of fouling, dead carcases, chicks and related nesting material was found inside the building, creating a serious health hazard.

The first stage of the job was to reduce the bird numbers inside the building making the work area safer for the Enviroguard technicians, shooting was the prefered option for this stage of the job.

All waste was then decontaminated, bagged and removed from site, a final biocidal and insecticidal treatment was applied to decontaminate.

Ongoing control to reduce the number of birds has also been actioned on the building through a regular trapping program.
