Laser Bird Scarers
Laser technology is a proven bird scaring method as nuisance birds, such as pigeons and starlings perceive the laser beam as an approaching danger so their instinctive behaviour is to disperse from the protected area.
Lasers suit dawn and dusk, overcast conditions and enclosed or low-light spaces, where the beam is most visible to the bird. In bright sun the effect falls away, so they are usually paired with something else on an exposed daytime site.
Handheld units let an operator disperse birds directly. Automatic units sweep a set pattern unattended. Both are silent, which is what makes them suitable where a distress call system would disturb people.
