Enviroguard anti pigeon netting installed at Amcor Flexibles.

Enviroguard recently completed a bird netting job to remove roosting pigeons from pipe work located above a main entrance doorway, at Amcor Flexibles site in Workington, Cumbria.

The team of Kelvin Taylor and Keith Littleford made a fantastic job of what was always going to be a tricky job, – a neater job has never been seen! David Reid from Amcor added- “they were polite, courteous and very efficient – we couldn’t have wished for a better team of contractors”.

Well done Team – a happy customer and a great job done.

Existing anti pigeon netting located on the underside of a Morrisons loading bay canopy needed removing to allow outside contractors access.

The netting was removed prior to the fabricators arriving on site, giving them a clear run for their stage of the job as deliveries to the store couldn’t be disrupted, access to the net was gained from a MEWP.

Enviroguard re installed sections of netting to accomidate the new steel work and also raised the level of the netting, to allow taller trailers access under the canopy.

All work was completed without any disruption to the store, within budget and is working well.

All Enviroguard netting systems are installed with a 1 year warranty excluding accidental damage and acts of vandalism.

Proofing of Electricity Alliance’s UK distribution warehouse, against jackdaw infestation.

Enviroguard were initially contacted by Electricity Alliance to shoot jackdaws that were entering their distribution warehouse and creating a health and safety issue from fouling that was evident on stored goods.

Upon inspection of the site, Jackdaws were also found to be nesting on large sofit boards located above the sliding doors on either end of the building, years of nesting material and fouling had accumulated on the top surface of the boards and was creating a risk of the boards collapsing.

Rather than a quick fix by shooting the birds which would have returned due to the ideal nesting sites on the building, Enviroguard proposed a longer term proofing instillation, which would solve the problem of bird entry once and for all.

The first phase of the job was to remove the sofit boards and nesting material due to the imminent danger of collapse, boards and nesting material were removed and a final decontamination with Biocide was completed in readiness for proofing.

Bird entry points on all four elevations of the building were then proofed with rigid mesh and polypropylene netting, this work denied the birds access into the building and forced the habitual birds to relocate, creating a more cost effective and long term solution to the problem.

Anti pigeon netting installed to 92 balconies, 9 bay windows and numerous roosting sites around the student accommodation flats.

Enviroguard successfully tendered and completed a large scale netting instillation to three of Lancaster Universities student accommodation blocks.

Enviroguard worked closely with the architects to provide an aesthetically pleasing scheme to remove pigeon infestations from the buildings.

Flame retardant 50 x 50 anti pigeon netting was installed to areas that were infested, additional areas were identified as possible new roosts on the buildings, these areas were also proofed in anticipation of the birds displacing due to their original nesting and roosting sites being removed.

The instillation finished on time and within budget with no pigeon activity present on the buildings to date.

Enviroguard have since received a letter of recommendation from the main contractors in response to the level of service provided.

Anti pigeon netting installed on the store frontage.

Enviroguard were contracted to remove nesting pigeons, decontaminate and install proofing measures against a feral pigeon infestation at a North Yorkshire store.

Feral pigeons were nesting under the trolley store flat next to the front doors, birds were nesting in this area as it was protected from the weather, which was creating an ideal nesting site.

The nests and related guano were bagged and removed from site, the previously fouled areas were then decontaminated to make the work area safe for Enviroguard’s technicians.

A stainless steel straining wire support system was fastened to the fabric of the building, Enviroguards 50x 50 mm anti pigeon netting was then clipped to the supporting wires making the area non accessible to the pigeons forcing them to relocate.
