Description
A pack of 15 dishes of Fire gel bird repellent is equivalent to 1 silicone tube.
Bird Free ‘Fire Gel’ is a new method first introduced in 2011 that makes the birds believe there is a fire, making them avoid the area. It is installed in small dishes, is non-toxic unobtrusive (unlike spikes or netting) and low maintenance.
The Fire Gel Bird Deterrent comes in 15 ready-made dishes which can be placed indoors or outdoors – and won’t cause damage to buildings or structures. The trays can be placed on Telecom Poles, Electric Power Structures, Bridge Beams, Marine Structures, Ornamental Copings, Sign Boards, Balconies, Roof Lines, Cornices and Ledges, Gutters etc.
The Fire Gel Bird Repellent can deter feral pigeons, lesser black-backed gulls, and other unwanted birds from building facilities and structures.
This particular bird gel repellent is oil-based, so is not affected by extremes of temperature, nor by wind, rain or snow. Herbal oils contained in the gel form a film, making it waterproof and preventing evaporation. The Bird Free Fire Gel has proved completely effective in extreme weather conditions, such as torrential rain or high summer temperatures. If installed correctly, the Bird Free Fire Gel will provide at least two years of protection against unwanted bird pests.
Note: To reduce potential exposure to bird-related diseases, we strongly recommend wearing protective gloves and appropriate PPE for dust protection when cleaning areas to be treated.
How To Use Bird Repellent Fire Gel
- Wear disposable gloves when using the bird fire gel.
- Do not apply Bird Fire Gel where it may entangle birds e.g. on or near feeders or on vegetation/structures or supporting feeders.
- Prepare surfaces to be treated by removing bird droppings and other debris.
- Use a biocide or water mixed with detergent, on wet surfaces where droppings are present to limit the generation of airborne dust during cleaning.
- Allow the cleaned surface to dry fully before treatment.
Spacing & Application Rates
- High pressure (nesting and night roosting areas): 4-6 inches (10-15cm).
