Commercial quality visual bird scarers from Enviroguard
Visual scaring works on a bird’s instinct to avoid a predator or unpredictable movement. It suits open ground, roofs and water better than enclosed spaces, and it works best when the device moves or changes.
Birds of prey: the hawk kite flies from a 7m pole and self-launches in a light breeze, with a free-standing mount for sites where a stake cannot be driven. Static decoys include a peregrine falcon, a long eared eagle owl, a prowler owl, a heron and a coyote replica.
Movement and reflection: holographic repeller ribbon, the inflatable Terror Eyes balloon, and a strobe light for low light conditions.
Flight diverters are a different job: Birdmark Afterglow and Firefly make wires and cables visible to birds in flight rather than deterring them from a surface.
Move a static decoy regularly. Birds habituate to anything that stays in exactly the same place.
